
Description
The 400GBASE-SR8 QSFP-DD optical transceiver is a parallel 400Gbps four-channel small-sized pluggable dual-density QSFP-DD module that transmits through eight wavelengths. Suitable for 400GBASE Ethernet networks. QSFP-DD SR8 offers a throughput of 425Gb/s and supports transmission distances over 100 meters (OM4 multimode fiber) or over 70 meters (OM3 multimode fiber). This transceiver fully complies with the QSFP-DD Multi-source Protocol (MSA), IEEE 802.3cm 400GBASE-SR8 and IEEE 802.3bs 400gai-8 standards. Its electrical interface adopts a 76-pin edge-type connector compatible with MSA, and the optical interface adopts an MTP/MPO-16 APC connector. The full-duplex QSFP-DD transceiver implements 8 independent 53.125Gbps PAM4 transmission and reception signal channels in each optical fiber, with a total data rate of 425Gbps. The built-in digital diagnostic monitoring/digital optical monitoring (DDM/DOM) supports real-time performance monitoring through a 2-wire (TWI/I2C) interface. Veivot's modules are factory-pre-programmed for compatibility and perform as alternatives to general-purpose /MSA transceivers.
