Why Choose Traceable Flat Drop Fiber Cable?
Traceable Flat Drop Fiber Cable is specifically designed for your underground, self-supporting aerial, direct-buried, and duct-installation scenarios, offering a combination of easy traceability and convenient handling. It features a tight-buffer or loose-tube fiber core structure—a mature design that is easy to work with—enabling rapid cable access and entry. This cable adopts the proven jacket design of aerial all-dielectric flat drop cables, integrating an easily separable 24 AWG copper conductor. This tracing conductor is compatible with standard Outdoor Plant (OSP) cable locating equipment available on the market; at the cable termination point, the conductor can be effortlessly peeled away from the main cable jacket, facilitating its connection to a ground point—whether located inside or outside the network terminal device or splice closure—for proper grounding. Maximizing the simplicity of the tracing conductor's splicing and grounding operations is key to reducing labor intensity during field construction; furthermore, the conductor can be peeled away entirely by hand, requiring no specialized tools.
Description:
The Dry-Type Traceable Flat Drop Fiber Cable is engineered for self-supporting aerial, direct-buried, and duct-installation applications. Featuring an all-dielectric structure, it is an ideal choice for "drop" segment applications, offering both convenient cable access and a simplified installation process. The cable's internal structure utilizes either a single loose tube or a single tight buffer tube design, demonstrating superior mechanical performance in various harsh environments, including those involving compressive loads and impact forces. The adoption of dry-type water-blocking technology not only ensures a cleaner and more efficient installation process but also effectively reduces construction costs associated with cable end preparation.
The cable's outer jacket is manufactured from PE material enhanced with special additives, providing excellent weather resistance, durability, and easy-stripping characteristics. This jacket delivers superior protection for the cable, effectively shielding it against damage from UV radiation, fungal growth, mechanical abrasion, and various other environmental factors. Two all-dielectric strength members are arranged in parallel within the cable (requiring no splicing or grounding), endowing the cable with exceptional resistance to lateral compression.
A single 24 AWG copper conductor is laid parallel to the outer edge of one of the fiberglass strength members to facilitate cable tracing and localization. This copper tracer wire makes detecting the cable's position effortless in direct-buried installation scenarios.
